Basewars - name is pretty much self-explaining: In short you make base, print money, afford weapons and explosives to raid other people. But this gamemode might be a bit more complicated than you think it is.Before playing, you will probably need CS:S content. If you own this game, just make sure that box next to 'Counter-Strike: Source' is checked (on list expanded by clicking small pad in down right corner of menu).Remember to read server rules straight after joining, this will save you from many kicks, warns and bans! You can find the rules in f3-rules or by writing!rules in the chat.If you are playing with friends you should make a faction in f3, you can write in team chat by pressing u and only your faction members can read that chat, and if you want to send private message to someone write /tell name textPerilous has a Prestige SystemEach time you reach lvl 5000 you can prestige but it also costs 250 billion but you will gain 5 prestige points that you can spend in the prestige shop or prestige perks.
Each time you prestige your money, levels and entities will be removed. Once you're on the server write /content in the chat and sub to allIf you DO NOT OWN CSSThis is going to be complicated for people who aren't great with computers. Although you may be able to find the files online for free, that is technically illegal, so I won't go into that method here. Anywho, you're going to need SteamCMD.
Get that from here:.After that is downloaded, create a folder for the program somewhere, and extract the zip into that folder.Double Click 'steamcmd.exe' in that folder, and wait for the downloads to finish. Once you see 'Steam' you know you're ready.Type into the window 'login anonymous'. Wait for it to say 'Waiting for user info.OK'.Type into the window 'forceinstalldir css/'. It shouldn't say anything after this command.Type into the window 'appupdate 232330'. This is the actual download process, it will probably take awhile.Once it finishes downloading, type 'appupdate 232330 validate'. This step is optional, but recommended, as can check for corrupted files. After this, you can type 'exit' into SteamCMD to close it.Now, look in the folder you made for SteamCMD.
You should see a new folder called 'css' inside of it. Keep this window open, as we will come back to it.Go to your steam library.
Find Garry's Mod, right click it, click properties, then switch to the 'LOCAL FILES' tab. Click the button that says 'BROWSE LOCAL FILES.' This should open your GMod directory. In this folder, go into 'bin'.
Scroll to the bottom of the page so that the file 'vpk.exe' is in view. Keep this window open for the next step.Back over in the SteamCMD's CSS folder, look under CSS/cstrike for the file 'cstrikepakdir.vpk'. We need this file. Drag this folder onto the file you found in the last step, 'vpk.exe'. It will pop up a window, just wait for a bit, it is working.Once the window disappears, you should see a new folder in the 'cstrike' folder called 'cstrikepakdir'.
Rename this folder to 'CSS Textures'.Go back to your Garry's Mod directory. You're almost done!
This time, open 'garrysmod' then 'addons'. Drag your newly created 'CSS Textures' folder into here. You're finally done! All that's left is to check to make sure it worked by opening Garry's Mod.
I know this was complicated, and I'm sorry for that! Once you spawn the first thing you should (and actually are supposed to) do after joining server is searching for a good place to make your base.
I would recommend to search for a base that only has one entrance, no windows and thick walls. When you find a location that you think would suit you, you should start by blocking off the entrances to your base and use all 45 of your props ( You can track how many props you have down via hud when you're holding out your physgun or a toolgun ). Next step is setting up your printers. You can find printers in Q menu-Basewars-PrintersPrinters like any other Basewars Entity will take power, you can get power from generators ( You can find generators in Q menu-Basewars-Base ).When your base is complete you can buy a spawnpoint and place it anywhere you want INSIDE of your base and whenever you die you will respawn on top of that spawn point. Don't forget to press E on the spawnpoint after your purchased it.You can level up to lvl 21 quickly ( You will unlock Better Printers ) by buying and selling the first printer continuously, you'll be able to make money easier that way.Its also possible to purchase racks and store your printers inside so your base is much more compact.
There is already a guide on how to build ( It can be found here - ) but here Ill try to explain the props you wanna use for base building. When you spawn a prop you want to check its hp, you can do that via Hardness Tester ( It can be found in Q menu-Basewars-Base ).Hover over a prop with the hardness tester and if the prop has 1080 you have found the right hp amount ( Max HP for props is 1080, you can't find anything higher than that, you can only increase prop's hp via kits. ) You can get creative with designs as long as its not breaking any rules. There are 3 types of Medkits and 3 types of Armorkits, you can find all of them in Q menu-Basewars-Loadout. In fights you could get poisoned ( There are poison bullets in the perk section of the prestige area.
) And a way to get 'cured' is to buy an Antidote and using it. They can also be found in Q menu-Basewars-Loadout.There are more ways to gain ammo on the server, one way is by using ammo dispensers but another is by using Ammo Kits, there are two types of Ammo Kits, both of them can be found in Q menu-Basewars-Loadout. Under the Ammo Kits section.Printer Paper can be put inside of a printer to fill back the needed paper amount for printer to print. For each use of a printer there is 1 loss of paper, every printer by default has 2500 paper. After some time its also possible to buy auto-paper refiller which is much more convenient to use.Battery Kit can basically increase the power held you have inside of an Entity.Repair Kits are quite useful to restore damaged entities, you can just grav gun it over to an entity that has missing hp and it will restore its hp. Raiding is the core of this gamemode, everyone has a newbie protection until they reach lvl 250.
To start a raid you need to meet the requirements which are, if you're not in a faction then the user that you're trying to raid mustn't be in a faction. If you're in a faction then the user you're trying to raid must be in a faction as well, you cannot raid faction vs non faction. You need to have at least one t1-1 printer in your base to start a raid.
( Remember to read Raiding rules. )Press F3 then go to Raids tab and find the user you want to raid, press on their name and then click the raid button.Once you start a raid the defender wont be able to move his props nor spawn new ones and you wont be able to do the same. Only way to cut through props is by getting Blowtorches, using c4 or by having the Flak Bullets perk (% of bullet damage now applies to props in raid ). Each time you destroy an entity you will be rewarded with money and the defender will get some money back. There cannot be more than one raid at a time.-Basetime of a raid = 360-Every Defender = +30 second added-Every Attacker = -15 second added-Every prop in the DEFENDER's faction = +3 s perFew Notes:-when you're prestige 2 level, you can only raid the people who are also prestige 2 level or above-IF you're below prestige 2 level you can raid ANYONE.-Faction Prestige depends on the Highest Member's Prestige Level, Highest Member Prestige Level = Faction Prestige Level.

Cyber Stadium Series: Base Wars (commonly shortened to Base Wars or BaseWars)[1] is a futuristically-themed sports game, released for the Nintendo Entertainment System on June 1, 1991.[2] Set in the 24th century wherein baseball team owners have grown tired of paying outrageous player salaries, they decide to replace their rosters with cyborg robots.[3] This was the last NES game released by Ultra Games independently (although it did release several other games developed by other companies for another year afterward for both the NES and Game Boy).
Gameplay[edit]General gameplay[edit]
While maintaining basic baseball elements of pitching, batting, fielding, and base running, Base Wars adds a fighting element to the game featuring four robot classes; a traditional cyborg that looks more like an android, a tank, a flybot, and lastly a motorcycle. A player's robots can be upgraded with new and advanced weaponry and repaired with money earned for game wins during tournaments.[3]
Fighting[edit]
While fighting is a rare occurrence in traditional baseball, fights are an integral part of the game in Base Wars. As explained in the original game manual, any close put-out or force-out results in a battle. The fights between the runner and the robot tagging him are fought from the side-view. The result of the fight determines whether the runner is safe or out. Fielders start fights with a 100% energy bar while the base-runner's energy bar is directly proportional to the distance traveled from one base to the next (for example, a runner who leaves base while the baseman has the ball will have to fight with a minimum amount of energy and will get knocked out in one hit).
A robot can lose hit points not only by fighting or being hit by a pitch; attacking with a 'Laser Sword' or 'Laser Gun' drains HP too, and prolonged use will leave the robot manipulating it with the smallest possible life bar but won't knock him out. A robot that has lost all its hit points in one game, or a batter with low HP who gets hit by a pitch, will explode and leave its team with one less robot (and the explosion can damage the winning robot too). Three robots lost on a team results in a forfeit, thus a player can win a Base Wars game by fighting alone.
Teams[edit]
Base Wars features 14 teams, 12 representing cities and two customizable 'edit teams', one that uses 'Laserguns' and one that uses 'Laser Swords'. Players can select one of four types of robots for each edit team roster slot: a cyborg, flybot, mcycle (motorcycle) or tank.
Reception[edit]
Entertainment Weekly gave the game a B- and wrote that despite the gimmick of mechanized players, the game plays mostly the same as human baseball.[4]
